Brooklands is led by a senior management team with deep experience across operations, compliance and fund management. Each member of senior management has held senior management positions at London based regulated asset managers. Collectively, the team brings experience supporting asset managers across multiple jurisdictions, strategies and regulatory regimes.
Prior to founding Brooklands, the Partners worked together at Cube Capital, where they built and institutionalised the firm’s operational and compliance infrastructure, supporting significant asset growth and successfully navigating institutional investor due diligence processes.
Brooklands combines this institutional expertise with an entrepreneurial mindset; providing clients with a robust framework to launch, operate and scale their businesses with confidence.
Olivier Thieux is a Founding Partner of Brooklands and leads the firm’s Operations and Finance offering.
He has extensive experience designing and implementing institutional grade operating models, with a particular focus on back and middle office infrastructure, systems and scalability. Olivier began his career in fund operations in 2006 and has since supported a wide range of asset managers across different strategies and jurisdictions.
Prior to launching Brooklands, Olivier was Director of Operations at RiverRock and Cube Capital. He holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Aix-Marseille University and a degree in Economics and Finance from Université Paris II Assas.
Mike Williams is a Founding Partner of Brooklands and leads regulatory compliance and legal services.
Mike is a practicing solicitor in England and Wales, regulated by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority, Mike assists investment teams in the legal structuring of their businesses and investment vehicles and oversees the legal implementation of client, service provider and employee agreements. Mike brings expertise in regulatory compliance, authorisation and governance, supporting clients through the full lifecycle of their business. Prior to founding Brooklands, Mike was General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Cube Capital, where he oversaw the firm’s global regulatory framework.
Mike is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales and is a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (MCSI).
James is the Chief Operating Officer of Brooklands and is responsible for the firm’s operational delivery and governance framework.
James brings over 20 years of experience in fund operations, compliance and business management. Prior to joining Brooklands, James held senior roles including COO and Compliance Officer at Hadron Capital LLP, where he led fund launches, regulatory implementations and large-scale operational transformations.
James holds a BA in Accounting and Finance from Dublin City University.
